Charlotte Bredahl

Charlotte BredahlCharlotte grew up in Denmark and came to the US when she was 19 with only suitcase and a little bit of English in hand. She lived in the Calabasas area outside of LA in California until she moved to Santa Ynez in 1990. She worked her way up from groom to trainer to judge. She got her US Citizenship in the mid 80ties.

In 1992 she was part of the US bronze medal winning Olympic dressage team in Barcelona. For the past 25 years she has been a National Dressage judge and for the past 4 years an International judge. She has judged in Australia, Japan, Costa Rica, Barbados, France, Denmark, England and Canada. For the past two Olympics she has been an Official Selector, being part of the Team selection process. This year she will be judging the final selection for the World Equestrian Games.

Charlotte also coaches and still competes on a regular basis. Aside from being passionate about all aspects of dressage, she is also passionate about staying fit and mentoring youth. She has spoken on behalf of World Fit at local schools. She has been mentoring youth for many years and try hard to involve them in the activities she loves including tennis, dancing and of course horses.
